How It Works
How AutoSave manages Ohio electricity supply
AutoSave manages the supply portion of your electricity through an authorization. It is not a fixed-rate contract, and it does not shop every supplier. Here's exactly how it works — and where its limits are.
What AutoSave actually does
AutoSave manages electricity supply through a one-time authorization. When you enroll, you authorize Think Home Solutions, LLC to manage the supply portion of your Ohio electricity account. When it applies, Think Energy becomes the supplier for your generation.
AutoSave then compares a personalized Think Energy rate against your utility's applicable Price to Compare — the benchmark rate your utility publishes for supply. It does not shop every competing supplier's offer or guarantee the lowest Ohio rate.
What it does not do
- It is not a fixed-rate electricity contract.
- It does not guarantee that Think Energy will supply your account.
- It does not guarantee that savings will occur.
- It does not compare every competing supplier.
- It does not manage delivery, outages, or your utility billing.

Managed by AutoSave via authorization
AutoSave manages only the supply portion. The utility keeps delivering power, restoring outages, and billing you.
The comparison
Personalized rate vs. the utility Price to Compare
AutoSave's comparison is between a Think Energy rate and your utility's applicable benchmark — not a sweep of every Ohio supplier.
Ohio's energy choice system lets customers pick their electricity supplier while the utility continues delivery. Each utility publishes a Price to Compare: the supply rate a customer would pay if they stayed on utility default supply. AutoSave uses that benchmark as the basis for comparison.
Because the benchmark is a supply comparison, it tells you about the supply portion of your bill — not your entire bill. Delivery charges, taxes, and fees are separate and unaffected by AutoSave. Learn how to find your Price to Compare.

Limitations & exclusions
Where AutoSave's protection does not reach
Savings protection uses a defined supply benchmark and has contractual limits. Read these before you enroll.
Savings protection is about the defined supply benchmark — not the entire bill or every competing offer.
Time-of-use supply rates, demand meters, and demand rate classes are excluded from that protection.
Later changes to a utility's published comparison rate also have exclusions.
Switching and reimbursements are not necessarily immediate — no same-day switch or automatic next-bill reimbursement.
An existing supplier or aggregation rate could already be lower than AutoSave.
AutoSave does not reimburse your existing supplier's termination fee.
Full details are in the AutoSave agreement (V20260715) and provider terms.
Balanced suitability
Is AutoSave right for you?
It depends on your situation. Here's an honest comparison of the three approaches.
| Compare | Stay on utility supply | Shop a fixed-rate contract | Use AutoSaveFeatured |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best if you… | Prefer zero effort | Want rate certainty for a term | Want supply managed & don't need a fixed rate |
| Rate risk | Changes with utility | Locked for term | Can change monthly |
| Effort | None | Shop & renew | Low — managed for you |
| Watch out for | Missing better offers | Cancellation fees at renewal | Monthly rate changes; not every supplier compared |
A competitive existing fixed-rate contract or a municipal aggregation offer may suit some customers better than AutoSave. Always compare your actual current rate and contract end date before switching. Read the detailed comparison or check your existing contract.
The bottom line
AutoSave is a low-effort way to manage the supply portion of your Ohio electricity through an authorization. It compares a Think Energy rate to your utility's benchmark — but rates can change monthly, savings aren't guaranteed, and protection has contractual limits. If you value rate certainty, a fixed-rate contract may fit better. If you want supply managed without shopping, AutoSave may suit you. Either way, review the actual agreement before accepting.
